More traditional in style than many of my other portrait works, this original oil painting of a contemporary red head is sensual and striking. I loved working on the back-lit highlights in her red, red hair and focusing on the intense gaze in her eyes. I used an olive green color for the background - a perfect foil for all that red hair.
