"Yellow Dress" began with a loose sketch in charcoal and conte crayon (a charcoal with a wax base). I added loose, blocky strokes of color, careful to keep the idea of the figure, yet remain abstract.

The painting is done on a .75" thick canvas, and the sides are painted white. It comes wired and ready to hang.
